Happy New Year folks!

Since the Rona has infiltrated our lives and has extended our stay at home order, I have decided to shift my focus on staying as local as possible when I have the urge to get away. I opted to name these types of travel adventures my Cali-FUN-ia trips. The Covid crisis has solidified my decision to do what I can to stay safe and responsible but salvage what little bit of travel life I have left. As I move forward into this year with caution, I want to practice being more still. Most travel destinations require a lot of movement to get to, to get through and to get from. The more things there are to see, the more movement I’m naturally going to be doing.

What’s nice about doing a staycation is the lack of urgency I feel during my stay. The experience still gives the gift of escapism I am seeking when traveling which I love the most, aside from saving a bit of coin from time to time. Next time you need to get away, pack a bag and get in loser, we’re going on staycation!
