High Waist His Time Shorts & Snobby Buns
Sometimes the youth inspires me. In this case, it was my very own baby sister, Akilah. I received so many compliments on my look for this year's Insecure Fest, so I thought I'd share the deets. What does one do when it is 100 degree weather outside, you don't want any hair on your neck, yet you want to be stylish? Oh I don't know, maybe you rip a page out of your little sister's book of hairstyles. Like me, she is also a chameleon (maybe she gets it from me, wink wink). She changes her hair at least 4 times a month, but if it's one signature look that she rocks, it's indeed the "snobby" buns. What are snobby buns? They are two buns affixed on top of one's head in a variation of ways. It can be more sleek or messy, but her signature buns are a mixture of both. Snobby is one of her nicknames and if you look at this hairstyle, it's so fitting! Don't I look snobby af?! Hello new hashtags: #snobbybuns #snobbygang. Thanks for the inspo sis! Her IG is here.
I also received mad inquires on the shorts. I call them my Beyonce shorts because I felt like the queen in them and who doesn't want to feel like queen Bey? I would also like to point out a crazy coincidence. Check out this Beyonce image here. It's totally the same color schemes! I promise this was not planned. The Beyonce aura was around me okurrr. The shorts are from Windsor, one of my favorite places to shop (ya girl shops clearance and sale items on the regular without shame btw). They are the "high waist his time shorts" and I live! If that ain't an "I aint sorry" piece of clothing, I don't know what is. I doctored them up a bit because I'm a girl with booty, I need the extra room and going up a size wasn't an option because I'd have an issue with the waist being too big, #lestruggle. I ripped up the sides a bit and cut pieces of the front off to give it that high-low look.
