Orbic Air Helicopter Tour: The Perfect Birthday Gift
Hey y’all! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve been back on my blogging tip but I decided to take a couple months off to rest. As you know, I am not one to shy away from protecting my inner g & energy and both needed some TLC. I’ll touch on how I actively avoid burnout in another blog post but for now I want to share one of my birthday gift experiences with Orbic Air. I know with the covid gloom, it’s hard to plan birthday celebrations but this experience is perfect in my opinion. You don’t have to leave the city and you get to see Los Angeles from a whole new point of view…bird’s eye baby!
There are some covid precautions that you should note. These practices are pretty standard these days but I didn’t want to be irresponsible and omit them. You must wear a mask at all times; including the duration of the flight. You are checked-in and greeted outside of entrance before being brought in to sign waiver. This limits the amount of people in the office at any given time. The pilot also must wear mask at all times and they do not mix couples/ groups from different households. Everything is sanitized so I felt very comfortable flying with Orbic Air.
You can visit www.orbicair.com to book your experience and choose from the various packages they have available. You can also book a few of these packages through GroupOn for a discounted rate as well, though I believe those tours are chosen before hand (don’t quote me). Packages start at $124 and you can choose whichever one suits you. The pricing is dependent on length of flight and location. They offer both landing tours and scenic air only tours and it’s perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because gifts to loved ones. Don’t stop there, if you want to gift yourself like I did, do it! One thing y’all need to know about me if you don’t know already is I am going to live life unapologetically. This experience was no different.
The California Coastline Tour that I did included the Hollywood Sign and the Santa Monica/Venice/Pacific Palisades coastline tour at sunset. I was able to see all of LA and I loved that at sunset all the Christmas decorations made the ride that much more special. My pilot was Steven and has been a pilot for decades. He mentioned flying with his father, who owns a helicopter company, when he was a young child so I knew I was in great, skilled hands. When I tell you I experienced the softest landing, please believe me. I was pleasantly surprised at how seamless the landing was.
Thank you Orbic Air for and unforgettable ride. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift. I’m here to remind you to never forget to live out loud and to treat yourself because you deserve it!
Videos of the ride can be found on my TikTok or my Instagram Highlights.
