ROW DTLA: Birthday Shoot
Hi lovely people! It’s been a while since I’ve been back with a new post but life was having it’s way with me and I let it happen. I’ve been up to quite a few things since I last checked in. Booked a couple more video shoots, went on two vacations, one of which was a solo trip. Had the Jamie Foxx sing me happy birthday, made new friends, got rid of old ones and did a whole lot of self reflection. I celebrated a birthday and this was my photoshoot look for the big 35. I wanted to embody sophistication and sexiness with a side of mystery. The jumpsuit and bag is from Pretty Little Thing. The bag is no longer sold there but here is a similar bag. The scarf is from Amazon and the shoes are from an insane sale from DSW a few years ago. I don’t have the link for these unfortunately but you can find a similar pair at just about any clothing store.
I don’t have much to say about this new chapter since I’ve been 35 for a few months except I am looking forward to getting older and wiser. I used to be so afraid to get older but I think a lot of that had to do with me counting on the possibility of motherhood and marriage. Neither one of those are necessities in my life at this time so I don’t feel pressure to accomplish those things by a certain age. It’s such a freeing feeling to be completely honest. I have such a new appreciation for my growth and all I want to do to is embrace it more and more. Cheers to 35!
