Girl you move like Sade
We wanted to experiment with the idea of the infamous Sade photo. Her iconic denim on denim with the low braid was so signature, we were inspired to recreate it. That braid is a $4.99 pack of braiding hair. Every black girl should have one on deck.
I met Erin through my friend Jonnie. They are photographer buddies. This was my second time working with a female photographer and I loved her energy and warmth while shooting these. Erin is from the DMV area and recently moved to California. Ivy Park fit!
As a Beyonce stan, you know I wasn’t going to sleep on the Ivy Park launch. I grabbed the sweatshirt and the shorts and this was actually it’s debut. Athleisure wear might be my middle ground. I always thought of myself as two extremes, either super glammed up or raggedy. Now I can say I’ve found my middle.
